Airing Wisdom

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4 AMP)

What a wonderful verse in a beautiful psalm!
The ‘one thing’ to me means the ‘most important thing’
It is ‘asked’ of the Lord
It’s ‘sought after’
It is ‘inquired for’
It is ‘insistently’ required!

All the emphasis the psalmist gives to this ‘one thing’ indicates that it is uppermost in his mind and foremost in his desires!
And so I’m challenged to make it so in my own life.

The most prized thing is:
* to be in Gods presence all the days of my life
And while there:
* to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord – His ‘sweet attractiveness’ and His ‘delightful loveliness’
And
* meditate, consider and inquire in His temple!
What a beautiful thought: what a Holy aspiration. Available to me through Jesus, and to all who commit their lives to Him!
